kumo.

i was using the wikipedia for translating the name of one ingredient of a particular north african sauce. the sauce is called harissa, the ingredient carvi, in french.

the interesting thing is that not only have i found the italian page for that spice, but also the venetian version of it:
"el kumo (nome sientifego carum carvi) ła xe na pianta deła fameja dełe apiaceae. in todesco se dixe kümmel, in inglexe caraway, in tałjan cumino. ła xe na piantina ke riva a 40-60 cm, con fojete divise fine fine come penete; i fioreti i xe bianchi o rosa, i fruti i xe picołi, de do miłimetri."

lovely language.
